I was an ass to the mother of my son’s friend

A few weeks ago, we decided to spend a long weekend at my in-laws’ holiday home by the beach. We invited my son’s best friend, B, and his parents to come with us.

On the Friday before the long weekend, I’m walking back home from school with my son. We cross paths with C, another one of my son’s friends, and his mum.
